) We have an opportunity for a full time Dishwasher to join our team! This is a swing shift position:

Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Washes pots, dishes and silverware according to dishwashing, pot washing procedure.
Puts clean pots/dishes and silverware away.
Cleaning of equipment and kitchen floor/refrigerators as assigned.
2.
Assists with cleaning of common dining areas, common kitchen/service areas, including stocking/restocking, trash removal.
3.
Washes kitchen laundry.
4.
Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work areas.
5.
Takes trash out to dumpster.
6.
Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator.
7.
Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste.
8.
Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride.
9.
May be called upon to serve in the Dining Room, assisting with orders, assisting on cooking line, Assists with prep cooking.
10.
Attend all meetings and staff training as required.
11.
Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to facility safety program at all times.
12.
Follow standard food safety monitoring procedures throughout the shift.
13.
Understand and carry out all oral and written directions.
14.
Other duties as assigned by the Campus Dining Director, Cook Shift Supervisor, Administrator/Designee.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
Ability to get around the kitchen and dining area to carry out assignments.
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Stooping, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking.
Ability to tolerate up and down movement including reaching above and below shoulder height.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
Able to read, write and understand the English language.
Advantageous to have a background in food service.
Must meet health assessment and be able to perform each of the essential position functions.
Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire a State of Illinois Food Service Worker Certificate.
