This is a part time admin support role for underwriting.
Manager's Notes:
20 - 25 hours per week
Monitor the 1-800 line - fairly busy, 40-50 calls per day requesting status updates, etc.
Set up new loan files which will be assigned to underwriter.
This department handles modifications for maturing balloon loans that can't be refinanced.
This department is experiencing a peak - this person will be helping to support the high volumes
They also process home equity loans and first mortgages - many packages coming in that must be set up in new files.
Manager Must Haves:
Good strong clerical skills
Must be well organized
Computer savvy - internal database, spreadsheet updates, some data entry, pulling credit reports, ordering appraisals
Admin assistant experience in loan processing department or someone with processing experience in loan origination would be ideal
Hours are 8:15 to 5:00
Will be conducting face to face interviews
Summary: Provide administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions.
Education/Experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 to 4 years experience required
Skills and Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Ability to keep information organized and confidential. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work. Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents. File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports. Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails. Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
